About the paper
Paper P5, Advanced Performance Management, is a paper in the Options module at the Professional level of the ACCA Qualification. The syllabus further develops key aspects introduced in Paper F5. It prepares candidates to apply relevant knowledge and skills, exercise professional judgement in selecting and applying strategic management accounting techniques in different business contexts and contribute to the evaluation of the performance of an organisation and its strategic development. The sections of the syllabus are as follows:

- Current developments and emerging issues in performance management: this sectionidentifies and assesses the impact of current developments in management accounting and performance management on measuring, evaluating and improving organisational performance.
