I wrote the P1 paper.to me it was manageable except the examiner was catching us offguard by bringing those simple things like narrow and wide stakeholders because we dont pay particular attention to such minute details.on the stakeholders i was reading things like the stakeholder mapping the key players those to keep satisfied and so on that was the thing i thought would come.

all in all i just hope for a 50.it would be bad if i have to start preparing for this paper again because i had put in a lot to prepare for it.Lets just wait for the results.
How did you find it yourself?

Ya, I do agree with totally. In fact, I have been taking this paper for the 2nd time and I was also fully prepared for this paper and same as you, hopefully, I can get at least 50 marks for a pass. Let's pray hard. Cheers.

Although I wasn't fully prepared for this exam, the paper was fair. I managed to attempt all required questions with bits of them uncompleted. I hope my answers made sense and could get me a 50.

    Best for all.

I'm a bit confused. I felt prepared, ald also the exam itself seemed quite easy. However I got only 50 marks. I passed anyway, so I'm happy. Nevertheless, strage thing.

For this paper I found it best to break it down into areas and then mind map the salient points.

So I would have a topic called corporate governance in the centre of my page and then tag the relevant theories / points on to it, eg. Cadbury Report - audit committee
    X Report - Remuneration committee
And so on with each main area of the syllabus.

I really found it worked for me and I was able to make a logical progression through the syllabus. I re-did the maps a couple of times and stuck them on my office wall so that even staring into space time they were sinking in.

I passed first time with 71% and hadn't done any studying of this area before or done any studying at all for 15 years!

    Hope this helps

I will have a look through my notes at home & see what I have.

I passed my last paper in June to becme an affiliate. I did P1 and P3 in December 08 & p" in June 09. For P1 and P3 I used this method of working, oh & spent about 20 hours per week studying, increasing to about 30 for the last month before the exam.

    Good luck
