Study Text - some salient features
1. Each chapter, or Study Guide, is based exactly on the ACCA syllabus.
2. Whilst other materials available miss out certain learning outcomes, each GTG Study Guide covers ALL the learning outcomes that ACCA gives in the syllabus. So you can be sure that you have full coverage of all topics that could come up in the exam.
3. Ever wondered why you have to study a particular topic? The Get Through Intro at the start of the chapter helps you understand why this chapter is important to you and why it is relevant to what you will be doing in the future.
4. The introduction uses an illustration or case study to bring the subject alive, giving you the big picture or helicopter view.
5. Each learning outcome has definitions clearly shown and explained.
6. Sometimes find it difficult to put theory into practice? We have put in as many examples as we possibly could. The theory is brought to life, so you understand it better. By understanding it better, you will find it easier to remember, which helps answer questions in the exams.
7. In addition to examples, we also have case studies to give you real life examples of theory.
8. Diagrams are another way to memorise theory. We have used them where it makes sense to!
9. It is important for you to Test Yourself while you are going through the chapters. You will see many ‘test yourself’s which will re-enforce your understanding if you attempt them.
10. Each learning outcome has its own synopsis of the key facts. This ensures you know what to focus on when revising.
11. Each Study Guide ends with questions to ensure you have understood the important elements of the chapter.
