Default ACCA Textbook for Self Study Student

Hi I plan to start self study ACCA F1-F3 (June 09 exam).

    1) Just check with **** n ****, they will only start selling edition 09 on Jan..... At first I thought of buying now so that can start study earlier.....But since this is the case, should I wait for edition 09 or can I buy the edition 08 now? Any significant difference when they update the version annually? thanks :0

    2) Which publisher better- **** or ****? I mean for self study student.......

    3) for some paper eg.F3, F4, there are two text (with INT and without INT)...... Do I need to purchase both? What is the difference? Will exam question cover the topics from both text?

    Hi alice,

First of all welcome to ACCA studies.

As you are studying F1-F3, for F1 the syllabus is same all over the world.

But for F3 there are two variants viz. INTERNATIONAL and UK.

It is completely up to you which variant you want to take.

Also as you want to know for which session the books are valid.

I would suggest to you try GTG books which are available for June 2009 session. (I found them much better for self study!)

Student notes, Question bank (to give a lot of practice) and Key Notes (to revise) are also available.

You can by them from GTG distributor in your city ( check on the forum whether there is any distributor in your city or not) or you can buy online also.

Best of luck & Get Thru!

    Prajna

Nothing is complete and thus nothing is exempt from criticism.
