Default F2 and F3 As MSER

    Hi All

Thanks for all the interesting posts.

I am joining ACCA under the MSER. So I need to take F2 and F3 first. Could someone please confirm that the study text is the same, especially for F3 which seems to have a international paper as well as a UK paper.

Any help, as always, gratefully received. If anybody is there?

    Thanks

    Hi there intotheunknown.

You asked whether "the study text is the same, especially for F3..."

Same with what (the 2007 text or the June 2008 text) ?

Pls. be more elaborate. I'd be glad to answer you.

    Regards.

    Hi,

I felt very good that you are going to attempt both F2 & F3 in one session

    Great going!!!

For F2 there is no variant but for F3 we have option of choosing International and UK variant.

And definitely as F3 is an accounting based paper, the UK variant of the paper is different from that of International variant.

The two papers are different in certain aspects like accounting standard, related terminologies; few chapters are quite different…

Which variant you are planning to take please let us know or you can also share your understanding of the mentioned subjects.

    Happy learning and Get Thru..

    Hi Trailblazer

    Thanks

I just want to confirm if entering under the MSER requires me to take either the UK F3 or the International F3, or if its up to me.

    Regards

    Thanks Prajna B

As I said to trailblazer - just need to confirm what variant of F3 is required as I am entering under MSER.

But I get the impression from your helpful reply that it's entirely up to me.

Happy to start sharing once I get going.

    Regards

    Ask ACCA.

Call them or email them, they will respond to you.

it doesnt matter of you taking the mature route or normal route. Paper is same for both.

Its just the route that you take is differnt i.e mature route you have to complete F2 and F3 before you can attempt F1

@ bold: is it true for 2011 exams as well? if so then why are they, The ACCA Global, saying you will get exemption from F2 & F3 if you pass the MMA & MFA! do i have to study the F2 & F3 study texts for MMA & MFA? *clueless!*
