    Default Decision

    Hi guys,

I have query that is bugging me so I thought i take your friendly and helpful advices :)

I am at full time employment, I have started my ACCA in 2008 after 6 years from graduating from university, however because I studied financial economics,i only got 1 exemption.
I succesfully done F2 and F3 and last june started intermediate level.
    I got good results for F4 = 63% and F6 = 71% however, I have been doing 1 exam per time.
Now my question is, shall I give 2 exams a go or dont break what has been working for me and stick to 1 exam?
The two im thinking are F5 and F8 which I believe are challenging papers, however i am 30 years old and lot of people said if i continue to do 1 at a time then i will be too old when i qualify which i am predicting i be 35?
Another factor is here at my work the study support package is very low like £500 per sitting so financially this could mean i suffer as well.

Alternatively, i could miss out the classes in F8 and just go to revision as i hardly use class notes when it comes to preparing for my exam but go to classes for f5 and revision for f5?
I am very undecisive about this and would be grateful if you can give any feedback.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Hi!

I think you can give it a try and take two papers at one sitting. That way, you can judge for yourself if you can do it. If you succeed, nothing like it, and if you feel the strain, you can always go back to your original plan of attempting one paper at a time!

    Good luck!!

    Hi there,

I agree with Monica and think you should definitely try doing two papers at once. They are challenging ones, but if you really focus on preparing, you should be OK. You did well in your last exams, so there's no reason you shouldn't do well in these. If you don't try, you'll never know! Good luck :)

    Hi Martin,

I agree everyone else here, definately give it a go as you never know you may actually surprise yourself and pass them both with flying colours - this way you will qualify in half the time, that has to be worth it right?

At the end of the day no matter how much you suffer in regards to time and money now, it will make up for it with passing quicker and having more time to yourself and a qualification at the end dont you think?
