    Default Study Plan

If it was F9, F7...den making study plan nd question wouldnt have been tough.

F5 is a practical paper. I cant think of ne study plan\question which is inline with the exam standard. THINKING.

    Ne1 got study plan to suggest\recommend ?

Till now 24th Mar we have four participants

    CLAUDIA
    dragoon_alex
    okasha okasha
    mehul313

All of you agree to cooperate with the study session ???

After we made the plan. Its going to be immediately implemented. I dont suggest we wait for more members, they can join later if they want to.

    Hi

I dont think that F5 your plan would be much successful as its all about computation! For that the model answers suffice !

For this to be effective , you can rather create a general F5 Session , for example : Every member explain a topic of his choice which he finds most dull and boring . So If you find ABC Costing very dull and boring then you are required to present it in the nbest way for all others to understand , keeping in mind that teaching is the best way of learning.. So while explaining you get your concepts clear and other people benefit too.!

    What do you say?

    Regards

    Acid

In my opinion, F5 is not a purely computational paper. It has got theoratical elements too, about more than 50% of the syllabus. When I gave my exam last session, there was approximately just 38 marks for computation and rest of the marks were for logical thinking and interpretation with practical reasoning, because of which I found the exam difficult. So I think study sessions for F5 will be very helpful.

    Default F5 study sessions

I agree with sunset corniche, our focus should be on theory. and therefore i suggest that we should aim to post one detailed exam based question each day. which should cover all these areas:
    1) calculations & interpretation of data.
    2) explanation of key management accounting techniques.
and after that if there are some confusions than we can discuss them.

To be honest, I feel most of calculation in F5 is quite easy, especial in the half of early course; futhermore, we don't know how many % of theroy writing or analysis will come in exam, because last exam it's comes much more than 50%. I suggest we can collect all writing work together, and make sure nothing miss from our study plan.

    Default Plan

    study plan :

We can post exam standard question and all participants will have to answer them, at the end of each session we will discuss them and if required we can contact the author of F5.

It will be like brainstorming process , it is very important as F5 is a practical paper, so even memorizing whole book wont help you.

    Dec 2007 F5 pass rate is 34 %.
