Thumbs up Some important study and exam tips for F1

 The F1 syllabus acts as the basis for further studies within Paper P1: Professional Accountant and Paper P3: Business Analysis at Professional level.

 Revise the syllabus as broadly as possible and do not selectively review or practice only part or parts of the syllabus.

 Aim to spend 1.2 minutes on each mark. Make sure that you have double-checked your time allocation strategy before going into the exam.

 Remember that you don’t need to attempt the questions in order. Try to attempt those questions first which you are sure about and which can be solved quickly.

 Read the questions carefully. Be careful about the words such as do and do not.

 Try and decide on the answer before you look at the four options. Don’t waste time trying to decide on how the examiner arrived at each of the options.

 Make sure that you have correctly indicated your chosen answer on the answer sheet.

 All 50 questions are compulsory and must be attempted. So don’t leave questions unanswered. Even if you guess the answer you have a 25% chance of getting it right.

    Default Some suggetions

In addition to Snehals suggetions, if we prepare this subject with GTG material (text book, Student notes, Question bank) the success is sure!!!

I prepared for just 5 days and got 68% in my first (& only) attempt

Key notes are of course best made for last minute revision (which helped a lot to remember specific terms - the key to fetch marks very easily)

Questions asked were of different difficulty level and mostly reasoning based.

You can not afford to keep anything for option - knowledge of entire syllabus is assessed in the exam. Remember equation (50/30) i.e. 50 questions for 30 chapters;)

Go to the sample pages on this forum. They have sample study text etc.
    Do past paper.

paper 1.3 of old sylabus from ACCA website. Check th qustion the check answers. It will give you a good overall knowldge of F1 and what kind of exam quesitons to expect.

F1- is most memozing definitions and theorys. Once you memorized you will be able to answer quesions.

Do as manyquesitons practice as possible. The more you answer right. Higher chance of passing real exam
