Hi
I received my study text recently and i am no longer afraid of F7. I have lots of confidence for the June 2008 exams. Would like to know how soon texts would be ready for P7 and others in the Professional level.

Very good text. Have not looked at the Group accounts as yet but i hope all the necessary strategies would be dealt with

Salamz All,
These books are being published in Lahore by PBP who published BPP textbooks for the old syllabus. They are available from the official PBP book store near ICMAP office in Lahore.I also bought F8 and F9 textbooks and the F8 has impressed me a lot to be very honest very thorough and better than the BPP one I was using before.

I do not know much at all regarding their distance learning support , their F8 book is top notch and the F9 has disappointed me quite a bit , no adequate coverage of the syllabus as I was expecting it to have.Risk Management section especially needs a lot of improvement and I hope in future publications they work upon it.

Hi Siro,

sorry to hear the F9 disappointed. It would be good to know which other sections, as we can improved them from next time round. If you have any questions, then please post and I will get the F9 authors to reply.

Take care and glad you like F8,

Vandana

Yeah the F9 textbook I looked in thoroughly into it once again its not that bad but just there are not enough practice questions for the students to attempt or even worked examples for that matter. The Risk management section sure needs improvement and the other sections require a tad more detail than it currently has.
F8 textbook honestly is very good I wish I would have bought it much earlier because of the simple reason the amount of practical examples it contains and the way the points have been illustrated in so much detail. And lastly the english used is so simple to understand no complications and overall a recommended textbook for any student.

Why dont you buy a Question bank to solve practice questions! ? :P

I think its a good idea that we have less questions in the textbook. too much questions freak me out!

Sorry I meant they needed to put in more Illustrations to explain a point and basic practice questions not a whole exam question :)

Oh , i see

Yes , Illustrations infact really help to understand a point which is hard to know in theory, but I m sure that by the next session i'll buy theses books i'll have a better version and with more illustrations! :P
