As someone who cleared F9 last sitting i would like to offer some tips that i think made me pass.F9 is a very interesting paper.it is very involving as there are a lot of calculations and discursives too.the formulas look big and intimidating but do not be scared they are very easy once you master them. formulas like the WACC,CAPM etc.

Aim to finish all the topics as you know at this stage the exam questions are compulsory.some formulas are given and for some you have to learn them. what i did was to write the ones that are not given in the exam at the back of the passcard so that its easy to refer to them and at any time.

In every paper identify the topics that are important.these are questions that attract full questions.in this paper i identified investment appraisal techniques and working capital management.the rest of the questions could come as a part question. make sure you are comfortable in these 'important' topics.but am not saying forget about other topics

Acca offers diploma in financial management.though it appears to be a bit shallow with multiple choice questions it helps to kickstart your memory. i was able to go through the exam papers for this as well.

Revision should start two monthe before the exam. to start with make a timetable for two weeks and review it every two weeks .this will enable you check how you are progressing where you are fiding difficulties and what what needs to be done

finally the examiners feedback is very important.when you go through try to see the comments how the examinas has analysed the students answers. from my observation most of those areas where students have not done well the examiner will keep bringing those questions.for example capital markets ie market efficiencies were always a source of concern for the examiner and it kept coming.

Goodluck!
