Does this bode well for accountancy jobs?

I just read in the news that the number of banking and finance jobs (http://www.careersandjobsuk.com/banking-finance-jobs) available in the City continued to increase last month - apparently vacancies rose by 13% in Feb compared with job numbers in Jan.

Do you think the accountancy industry will experience the same trend?

I think the accountancy industry should experience the same trend....in fact, I sure hope so!!

I hope so too, it's about time that we heard about more high quality and well-paid accountancy jobs (http://www.careersandjobsuk.com/accountancy-jobs) opening up :)

It definitely feels as if private sector jobs are picking up - hopefully the public sector won't be too badly hit by spending cuts after the election. I guess it all depends on who's voted in.
