Hi Vivienne,

Could i seek your advise? Were you studying part time while working? How did you manage to juggle both of them?Im finding it rather difficult to study due to a demanding job!

Can you advise how to manage both studies and work effectively?

Thanks
Ramani

hi Ramani,

Thanks for your enquiry.i have actually never studied full time in my entire ACCA career.I work as an accountant in a national electricity utility.infact for the fundamentals level i never went in class.but for the final level i made it a point that at least i attend evening classes.

Its not easy knocking off from work tired and then going in class for another 2 hours, but always plan your studies that you utilise your free time.that is weekends and waking up at 03.00hrs to about 06.00hrs everyday except sundays(in my case).to be able to wake up at 03.00 i was ensuring that am in bed by 21.00hrs so that i sleep for about 6hrs to be able to regain strength.i made it a point that i dont study when i knock off from school but try to go to bed by 21.00hrs .

My employer always helps me with study leave of about 14days before every exam and i ensure that i have one month of revision that is working with the revision kit.so plan your studies that you finish the manual one month before exam so that you leave a month for revisions.

Hope this helps though it may seem an ambitious program but this is what has made me reach this far!
