Hi All,
The exam for F8 was not fair to me as other people have said. I couldnt make tails or heads on Q1 especially cash transactions.
What is the way forward and how can i be sure that i understand what the examiner is asking? There is little time to fish out points and connect them to the question. How do other pipo do it, please help me am getting frustrated on the subject.:realmad:
Hi,
I understand F8 paper was quite tough from the information that I have gathered.
So you don’t have to feel upset . You can wait till the results are out. Things may turn out in your favour. But, if you think you will have to sit for F8 in December then you have got plenty of time to prepare if you start preparations right now.
Before you get down to actually studying, analyse what went wrong in your preparation and while writing the exam. Your analysis should consist of the following points:
Your weak areas in the subject
Areas which are heavily examined in the paper (internal audit ,test of controls)
How well you can write answers on these areas
What are the expectations of the examiner from the answer to a particular question (you will get this on the ACCA website)
Did you give due weightage while studying to your weak areas?
Did you manage time properly?
Were u clear with your concepts?
Have a look at this post

If you plan your studies taking into consideration above points then it will be easier next time.
I hope it helps!

I can fully understand.. I thought the inventory question was a bit hard too...that type of inventory is totally unexpected.
I'm hoping I pass the exam

Hi there Frank,
I am planning on taking the paper in Dec 2009 session. I know I might not be able to help you that much, but I believe you r not alone in this. I think the best thing to do now is to wait until the result is out, who knows the result may be in your favor!
