Does anyone have any feedback on F8 today or are you all still bewildered like me.
Did anyone get through the paper in time? what did you think of question 1?!
Second time sitting it and did three mock exam papers yesterday ok but OHMYGOD!
I couldnt do question one. everything was 'list' when I couldnt just list them, thus spending
way to much time on questions and only got half done.
I hope the door doesnt hit Alan Lewin on the way out of his role after that NASTY paper! :arghh:

When the invigilator said "you can leave" I did "aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh December here I come". I have to think of a strategy for my december sitting cause December will have to be the last time I am writing F8. So look ahead and let us armour ourselves for December.

I found question 1 and 5 the most challenging. Overall this was a mixed paper, somewhat hard. Don't know what to expect.:no:

Question 1 took a lot of my time and it was a little confusing.What did you guys think?

Overall, the other questions seemed ok. Question 5, the first bit was a little ambiguous.

After I read question 1 I took a break and get used to the ideea that I must prepare better for December. I did not know if the subject was referring to the matter studied in F8. The question with audit startegy stages - was anything about this in the GTG book?
because if it was I didn't see it... I feel lost :)

Hi, everyone, I got the same feeling about the this time, I was parpare doing very well on the most of previous exam paper, and I was plan to obtain more than 65 mark in order to gain first class degree, but this time the paper really suck me...

Futhermore, I feel the examiner is really a silly person, how could he miss the most important syllabus "substantive testing" twice in F8 exams, because it's the compulsory step for the audit firm doing auditing; may be it's reason why ACCA fire him last month.:wacko:

Hi there,

I am so surprised!! Because I felt the same that Q1 was terribly difficult one and nearly lost at the beginning of exam. As a result, I changed the order by solving Q2 at first and address Q1 in end. I know it it is not recommended by examiners and not wise at all!! But there was no choice....

Hope other questions will complement the total mark.

With Qn 1 I felt as if I was answering the same thing for all parts... But listen everyone, I can't believe that no one picked up any marks from that qn, remember we only need 15 from qn1 to pass..

Did anyone else pick up on the last qn that the audit had been completed, and it was only after that the FD was intimidating the auditors???

I just plan to forget about it now, and wait, we can't change anything... What's written is written.

If its our time then we shall surely pass if not,, well we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and start all over again.

Very Pesmistic Suze, we all did bad, but with ACCA & specially F8 ;u have to just keep cool.

Nah i failed, 37 for less than three questions, lower than 39 last time tho, passed F9 though so its not all lost :smile:

again appears to be a lower pas rate [34] but that is justifiable given the difficulty level of the paper

I passd f8 ,66%...i found f8 a vry tough paper..i blame the exm kit.. It should include additional explanatns ,separately shown, to make both the questn nd answa clear

I passed F6 with 68%
i failed F5 with 45%
But finally i am happy because i took ACCA exams for the first time.
The effort continues..keep going my friends..:cool:
