Hi all,

I hope you are well and your studying is going ok. Over the next few days we will be posting a lot of helpful guidance for the F8 exam. As you know it has one of the lowest pass rates, and GTG has made its mission to REVERSE this!!!!!!!!!! So enjoy reading the tips and ensure you pass in June. If you do, don't forget to come back and tell us!

So let's start with some likely areas to be examined. HEALTH WARNING! We can not guarantee what is coming up (we are unfortunately not telepathic with the examiners ;-)) but we have come up with this list based on our experience and reading carefully the comments from examiners.

1) Audit reports - ensure you know the different forms and can tell the difference between limitation of audit scope and disagreement. likely to be scenario based with you giving your opinion on the type of audit report

2) Q1 is likely to be on either purchases or sales, but is likely to include you being able to use CAAT (test data, audit software) to help with the audit

3) inventory counts - ensure you know the processes before, during and after the count

4) Internal audit is always important and will no doubt come up - probably testing needed and also differences between internal and external auditors

5) Management representation letters - need and contents

Of course - these are just tips - it is more important to revise widely and practice past exam questions.
