View Full Version : before exams
For well management of studies
plan your studies and revision in advance
always think positive about your results
prepare summary for each topic you read
test yourself by solving past exam papers
try to avoid unnecessary tensions
How does one test himself by solving past exam papers? answer the question and then compare answers or in the beginning look at the answer to understand how the examiner has answered the question?
How does one try to grasp what the examiner is expecting of you so as to mention relevant scoring points?
To test ourselves by solving past papers is very simple. It will build self-confidence (not over-confidence:)). If you found any past paper easy, then it shows that you have prepared well. It is advisable to solve as much papers as you can
Once you try to solve it by your own. Then evaluate your answer by comparing it with original answer. Analyse your work, whether you have covered whole necessary topics or not. You can compare the presentation way also.
Another thing you can do. Just solve your papers and show it to your teachers.

well practicing past papers from where...??
There are no specific Past Papers of p3... Just a pilot paper and the Dec 2007 attempt... Is that enough???
Or should we be practising the old syllabus Past Papers also.. which equals 3.5 or 3.6 i guess...???But the syllabus is a bit diffferent...isn't it???

Everthing that you gave us is only good advise.
The most important tips is to get a good start from the beginning.
Plan everything concerning revision and studies.( Long-term planning v/s shot-term planning )
For most of us who work know what i am telling.
Work and study is very difficult and to manage.
We need to sacrifice.
Sacrifice is one of the most important tool.
Good Luck Friends!

hi arun123,
I totally agree with you. Only on paper plan never bring effective results. We have to work on them.
Build up a practical plan that's time-honoured according to your needs and schedule, and chains the way you learn. This will permit you to bond to your study plan and learn at your own tempo, which contributes to the learning course of action.
Whenever the exam nears, you will require creating a plan to help you study effectively and lessen stress. The first step is to make out how much time and effort you must set aside to studying for the exam
1. How difficult is the material?
2. How much time is available?
3. What is your performance goal for the exam from the result point of view?
Studying will involve revision of the material that you have already covered. If you are behind in the course, you must decide what is most important for the exam.
• try to divide the course material into small segments and allocate them to the study sessions; don't make too long sessions
• prioritise to make sure that material weighted more importance in the exam gets adequate study time;
• study sessions should have enough variety in terms of topics to avoid boredom
all the bests and start from NOW

Hi
According to ‘Examiner's approach to Paper P3’ and ‘Pass notes for P3’ –
The ‘top layer’ of P3 relational diagram (sections A, B and C of the P3 syllabus) is closely related to parts of the Paper 3.5 syllabus. The Pilot Paper is a representative paper. It also demonstrates how Papers 3.5 and – to some extent – Paper 3.4 can be used by candidates to prepare themselves for the Paper P3, Business Analysis exam.
Section A of P3 exam paper (50 marks question) is similar in structure and content to questions previously set for Paper 3.5, and so these can be used as a basis for revision. It is likely that the scenarios for Section B questions (25 marks questions) of P3 exam paper will be longer than those in the Paper 3.5, to reflect the fact that they are now worth 25 marks each.
So I think you can use 3.5 and to some extent 3.4 question papers for practising P3, but you need to identify topic from the question and make sure that it is included in P3 syllabus.
