Does anyone know what a proxy statement is?:eek: In the GTG study text, it says this is issued by the audit committee to the BOD.

The securities exchange commission requires the company to send to its shareholders a document disclosing material facts related to matters on which he would be required to vote.


Referring to the example in study text page A3.16

One person of the audit committee shall have the experience and expertise in finance. In this example name of the person who has been selected by the board has been given. A shareholders opinion/vote regarding this appointment has been invited through the proxy statement.
