Hi,

In section A2 of the GTG study text (page A2.6) under peer review's definition, it talks about the quality of attestation services.

What are attestation services? Is this the same as audit services?

Attestation means confirmation, evidence, verification etc. These pertain to audit so yes Attestation Services are Audit services.

F8 Study Group Timetabe:
Reading and review:
The GTG text for F8 has seven section. We can try to finish reading our entire text by the 5th April 2009. I know it sounds hard but with teem effort we can make it.

The timetable:
28th Feb 09: Read Section A- Discussion on Audit Framework and Regulation.

7th March 09: Read Section B- Discussion on Internal Audit

14th March 09: Read Section C- Discussion on Planning and Risk Assesment

21st March 09: Read Section D- Discussion on Internal Controls

28th March 09: Read Section E- Discussion on Audit Evidence

4th April 09: Read Section F- Discussion on Review

5th April 09: Read Section G- Discussion on Reporting

During the discussion we can have exam type questions relating to each particular topic. We can also have real live siuations about a paticular topic.
I intend for our discussion to be fun and informative. Best of all I intend for all of us to have a part of this so we can be able to sit our exam on 3rd June 2009 and pass with high marks.

Why do you sound so stressed? I still have a lot to do in F8. You can join the study groups it is very informative. You can see the schedule above. And I hope that it will take away some of you stress and worry.
