Hi both of you!
P1 is supposed to be a challenging but straightforward paper. You need to know your ethics and your risk management. Whilst it can be quite a 'dry' (read boring!) subject, it is actually quite interesting if you try to relate it to real life and issues that are going on. We will be doing a feature on Societe Generale and Jerome Kerviel - this should get some interesting discussion going!

With reference to what Vandana feels about P1 syllabus, we the authors of P1 would like to add that the style that we have adopted for writing the GTG text has made it very interesting to write.
Here I also would like to add that this would also be appreciated by those who have studied the F8 text.
If writing was an enjoyable experience, no doubt it will also be a reading delight.
I agree with Vanessa . F8 Studytext is an audit treasure.

I took P1 in December and I found it was quite an interesting paper to study. There was a situation with HSBC's institutional investors objecting to the corporate governance of the bank which perfectly illustrated the role of institutional investors so it is well worth googling and finding out more information.
can i know which study text are you studying from?
