I am not sure but I think the rates are still applicable.

You should confirm it with anyone else.

I gave the paper this december but I think I'll have to give it again in June ...:eek:

Hi Annie,

I am afraid you will have to kiss your old book bye bye! The new Finance Act 2007 is the one in use for the June and Dec 08 exams. Therefore you need to buy the new textbook, which has the updated rates, legislation etc etc.

F6 is being updated as we speak! It should be published around 12th Feb and will be with you by 18th Feb at the latest, I would think.

Apologies for the delay. We are doing a thorough check through on the numericals. There is nothing worse than having mistakes in books and we do not want this to happen - we have seen it a lot in other materials. With tax it can often be a lot worse.

yes we are doing the UK variant. It is currently being updated for the new tax act and will be available in about 3 weeks.

There has been a article in the Student Accountant January Issue addressing the new Finance Act 2007 and the changes that have taken place and there is also another article pertaining to Employee Benefits.Do give them a glance if you need any further help or alternatively you can download the articles from the ACCA website if needed.

Are there any developments in this book going on sale? Can you tell me when I can buy this as I am very keen to get started. Also the bulletins.... are they monthly or what as I had the 1st but had nothing since and I found them very informative.

Hi Mark,

The GTG bulletins are monthly and come out around the 15th of the month, so you should get your next one in the next few days.

With regards to the Tax book, unfortunately there is going to be a delay of at least another week from 20th. Sorry about this, but it is circumstances beyond our control.

I downloaded one chapter of F6 from your site, studied it and that was amazing ......... so looking for F6 book to be available ASAP

The updated F6 is out to print at the moment and hopefully (fingers crossed) all being well should be available in 10-14 days time if not earlier.

I understand your anxiety and thanks for waiting patiently for so long. But the wait is almost over. The books are already gone to print and will be available soon. You still have three months and with the GTG materials you will have no problems in preparing for F6.
