Let us take an example to under stand the concept in a better way
James is working in Lively co. James has realised that there is a fraud in the organisation.
Now James is going to report about the fraud to management. In this situation James is called as whistle blower as he is reporting the fraud.

Here the provisions of whistle blowing come up:
The corporate governance should encourage whistle blowing so that
Employees like James are unbiased in the company after the fraud is revealed
They should be protected by the management
This should not effect the performance of the whistle blower.
