Hi guys,

You will come across hundreds of CASES in the F4. You will have to understand the point establised in case law and also you will have to learn the case names .

Do not commit the mistake of thinking that I'll list all the case names on a paper in a list form and then remember at the end of revision. This will take you no where except saddness in the examination day.

You should keep reviewing cases time by time and during your examination , you will automatically figure out which case was related to which chapter what are its contents. Our brain is a wonderful creation of a mastermind.

So , Review is better then rotting.

Best of luck with your studies!

Hi Santosh ,

When I was planning which variant to take for F4 , I chose UK Variant. Because after consulting many people and seeing various aspects I came to conclusion that all laws are basically more or less based on UK. And my countrylaws and where I plan to work , both of them have laws based on UK Laws. So i chose UK Variant.

However It all depends on you and you should use your discretion in selecting the variant.

When you choose UK law , you atleast specialise in UK law but when you choose INT variant you study a general thing and I believe no country would really apply solely INT laws. So I chose UK variant!

Thank you

Hi Santosh,

Thanks for your mail. I would suggest taking global law if you want to learn about global practices in law, or English law if you would prehaps like to work for a British company at some point. Let me know if you need any further help.

Vandana

Hi Zainab,

Concentrate on section A chapters. If you look at the past exam papers, you will find that similar topics are repetatively examined from section A. E.g. the main civil courts in the English legal system, the three track system for allocating cases between courts, delegated legislation etc.

The law of contract is again the most important topic. You will always find questions (theory + scenario based) on various aspect of contract. So you have to study this topic.

Rest, it is impossible to say which topics will be examined and which will not be examined. Recently, many amendments are introduced by Companies Act 2006. So it is very likely that questions will be framed based on Section E and section F.

Corporate governance and fraudulant behaviour are also been frequently examined in past.

All the best!

Rachel
