Hi Binesh,

Firstly, I must appreciate your habit of writing notes in bullet points. It’s a good habit and helps a lot to remember the whole concept in points format.

You said, you write the answers in bullet points. It is also a good writing practice. That shows your conceptual clarity with nice presentation.

Coming to your problem, bullet points should be followed with adequate explanation. More and more reading will help you to develop the points. While studying, you try to understand the concept in addition to remember the points. Try to understand the rationale behind the audit i.e. why audit is done, why certain practices are followed, why auditor has limited liability etc. Understand auditor-client relationship, their responsibilities. "Why" is very essential.

You can have knowledge about these by reading the text repeatedly. Remembering the bullet points should come after the proper understanding of text. This fundamental knowledge will help you in its application in scenario based question.

I agree remembering the text of audit is difficult but the only solution is more and more reading of text and question banks. To understand the concept better, you have to read it for atleast 3-4 times. After that, you will be able to recall it during your revisions where you should read it once again. With all these efforts, it will be easy for you to reproduce it during exams.

Hi Dazy,

Thnks.

I realise that i must read a lot and more often now.

Is it advisable that in addition to the bullet points i write my own notes based on different text books?

Hi there

dont write too much of notes !!! Your bullent points is enough... rather direct your time and energies towards reading the past paper question and answers.

Hi Binesh,

Acid is right. Don't spend much of your time on writing. Read past papers solutions and solve mock tests for additional practice. This will help you in managing the whole writing in limited time.

Don't take much tension. Have a qualitative and exam oriented study and you will get throught the exam successfully.
