View Full Version : F8 BIG PROBLEM
please guide me how to retain F8. i studied the book of a chapter thoroughly but am unable to solve the KIT Questuions...................... M very tensed:cry::cry:
Hi
Please do not be tensed. You DONT have to retain the F8 book chapters!!! You have to read all question and answers in the KIT many times and you will definitely pass!
Questions related to Audit procedures and test of control are important.
Relax and dont take tension , you are going in the right direction as long as you are studying.

Also don't forget that in the written papers, you may have an answer that is totally different to the one in the book but it doesn't mean it's not a valid answer.
That's why I hate theory papers!!
Hi
I wasnt able to answer the questions first time from the kit..It takes time and our different answers can be correct as well.. Just keep reading them and thats what will give you an idea how to answer questions and thats what will serve your purpose for the exams!
I've been thoroughly reading the GTG study text. ITs really good!!! if any of you have trouble retaining anything I honestly recommend this book. ITs so comprehensive, easy to understand, lots of examples, and questions to answer after each topic.
I'm still going through the study text, I hope to be finished in about 1 1/2 weeks then concentrate on the revision kit.
F8 isn't hard just alot of info to take in, in my view mainly common sense... the way I think of it is if I were the MD of an entity the lenghths I would go to to protect my assests, and build prosperity for my company.

I think that i am not gifted With this COMMON SENSE regarding AUDIT
Just think logically, don't put yourself under pressure, its not helping you at all. Relax, try not touching the books for a couple of days. Then come back with a fresh mind.

Common sense is not always very common bro. You have nothing to worry about.Probably If you spend more time in reading the kit questions as I said in my earlier rather then worrying about it then you will be in a better position to pass the exams.

i also having problems while i study for my F8. After i study those questions. If i was to recall & write down the answer again. My answers is alway short :(
Hi all F8 members,
This is a common problem with all theoretical subjects, especially audit related subjects.
I fully agree with the solution provided by Acid. More and more reading will give you conceptual clarity.
Don’t worry at all. Only thing you have to learn is how to apply the theoretical knowledge in the practical problem.
Audit is very different from subjects like mathematics where the formulae help a lot to solve the problem. Once you know the formulae right, you can score full marks. While answering audit questions, you have to imagine a situation given in the problem and apply the theory.
Last but not the least – more and more reading, reading and reading. This will help you to improve your understanding.
All the best.

dear all
i am vetrivel
this is my third time taking this paper. last time i got 42 only.
how to read to pass this paper.
I think what Acid said is what you all should try to do, know the assertion, test of controls and the audit procedures, I did it in just but failed it because i did not apply myself to the question, you alway have to say why you are doing, what you are doing. Its about the application aswell. so be bold and challenge the examiner. i am going to defeat him this sitting. And i think we all should say that to him in our minds.
Thank you
Esther
