View Full Version : Exam Results
I passed P1 on my first try thanks to Get Through Guides, but I failed P2 with 43%. This is the second time I did this paper, my results were slightly better this time though, but it's a bummer having to repeat this paper. I was really hoping for the best.
Any suggestions on how I can pass this paper. Help required.

I also failed P1 and much worse than the first attempt. I was disappointed because I did put in some effort.
I do not know how to go about it now. I intend to resit in June 2009 because I do not have the study materials at the moment and the finances to get them.

Hi Avion ,
congrats for passing P1 on first attempt. I also passed P2 on first attempt. my advice will be that this paper is largely discursive as such you need knowledge of the standards to be at your finger tips. all the questions involves standards at least even the computational ones
What you need to know about the standards is
1.description of the standard, that is the treatment involved.
2.are there any alternative treatments because some standards allow two alternative treatments.
3.are there any weaknesses on the standards ie the arguments against.
4. are there any exposure drafts that have been issued to ammend the standard.
Get a download of all the examinable standards ie the summaries and use it as a dictionary in your P2 studies.
This is what worked for me and i know it will work for you.

Hi
I passed P1 first time by going through the text book 3 times -
first time reading the whole book & Making shortest notes (which I tried to ready often)
second time practising the test questions
third time practising the examination Qs
That worked for me - hope it helps

With P2 I found it really helpful to mindmap the standards. I had a different sheet of paper for each standard and then put the essential bits of knowledge around it. This made revision so much easier.
