How did the exams go?

Hi

I gave F6 and F4 this session. F4 paper went quite well although we gave very high emphasis on Tort or Negligence but nothing came up from that area.
A well unexpected question on Auditor qualification , role and duties did turn up. Scenerio questions were easy based on

1.contract law of offer and acceptance ,
2.Agency relationship and their authorities.
3.Share capital and company capital structure. ( This was highly unexpected to come)

In Knowledge based questions , 1 unexpected questions turned up related to :

1. Companies memorandum : Name clause , Registered office clause Share capital clause ( I dont really remember this one ).

The easy scenerio questions generally made the paper an easy to pass.

Without following the thumb rule of 1.8 min for every 1 mark i.e. 18min per question , the paper may have been very difficult to complete.


F6 was done horribly by me. Time was very less and confusion occured in the Chargable gain tax computation and there was a small area in the Capital allowance area of Question 2 which was related to the Corporation tax.

Many people whom I know had no idea about the Market price rule in calculating the share which was gifted in the CGT .


F4 was fun , F6 was horrible.

My F8 exam went okay but the F9 as expected did not go well because I did not prepare for it at all although the paper was a touch easy in my opinion but F8 had too many AUDIT PROCEDURES!

I took F1, F2 and F3 this week (as Computer Based exams). All went well and I passed :) F1 and F3 were as expected with all areas of the syllabus covered, the emphasis in the F2 exam was definitely on variance analysis.
