F8 quick quiz & overall view
Hi every body here

So without any introductions, let us move on, our currently thread is (F8 quick quiz & overall views)
So the main idea of it:

1)every member come here to write a quick quiz related to F8 paper or just come to give the brief answers to those quick quizzes (in just two lines or 3 only)

2)we can chose a particular topic (chapter on the text book , or technical articles from acca student magazine,…etc) & then take a time to read it (say two days) & then every one can give an overall view about it

So now can we start our study session please (we need your help Mr. Moderator)

I would suggest that you start on a question wise basis. Put a question here on the forum and answer it and compare with other student answers.

Bro. Please I want you to answer solely from your mind. I would also recommend you not to go to past papers and use a questionbank for the questions.

At anytime If you need any help please revert back.

thanks ve doen that now..i ve a little problem though ..i am still trying to figure out how to get hold of material.i ve contacted a distributor in Zambia(southern africa next to south africa) that the closest one to me.so now i am wondering if i am allowed to ask any question irrespective of the text sequence we may be using as a study guide for our sessions..i am currently using other material.

so if you please can read all the related chapters & tecnical articeles regarding the code of ethics till I send the quiz tomorrow

Dear dragoon_alex why you will still waiting till you start your course (you need every minute on F8 stupid paper) so our quiz will be very easy, you can answer it after a little reading on your text book or read the last exams questions (I'll give us a home work every two days - two questions from the last exams to read & memorise it) so don't be lazy

"" There is a variety of requirements (professional & legal) regarding;
1)the appointment,
2)the removal,
3)resignation
regarding the auditors, which should be followed
So, please just list it (as brief answers from your mind, after you read the related chapter from your text book, & make a points to memorize it - keep it on your mind)

I would recommend starting from the beginning to ensure that new members who have just started the studies and are a part of the group to follow up the sessions and also that you are getting good grips of the papers fundamentals.

when I start planning for this topic I planed according to the F8 syllabus, so I start with the first section (Audit & other assurance engagements - & audit framework & regulation)

wthatever for every one here (I didn't find any one till now) :frown: please
1) read the first two chapters on your text book
2) identify the important points of it
3) memorize it (keep it on your mind)
4) give us a quick quiz here
5) then every member can answer your quiz

our topic isn't just by & for me , but for every member so please again you can:
1) give a quiz to us
or 2) you would to answer our quiz

please just participate, don't be lazy ( it is disappointing matter till now):cry:

I am from a small and pretty island in the Meditteranean sea called MALTA....... and yes i am a real person and not your immagination :tongue:

I always used *** books previosuly but now decided to use GTG material for my F8 and so far so good. Honestly these books superceded my expectations.

I am taking F6 and F8 next Dec 08..and im telling you F6 Maltese Variant is a horrible nightmare

Anyways this is my first time joining a group to study and looking forward to see how it goes...

First of all, sorry for not answering your question. I must tell you that you are not alone. We all are here to help you. Let’s hope that all will participate actively in the quick quiz started by you. I am answering your first question from my end; let’s see who else will come forward with their views.

You are right, there are many statutory regulations governing the appointment, removal and resignation of external auditor (actor in the movie).

Appointment

External auditor is appointed by shareholders in AGM
Sometimes he can be appointed by directors or audit committee also.
Removal / resignation

Auditor is removed when there is a serious disagreement between the auditor and management

The decision is taken by majority of the shareholders

Resigning auditor should communicate about his resignation in writing to the entity

He should submit the statement of circumstances
This topic is discussed in detail in text book of F8. You can refer to page nos. A2.6 to A2.8 in the study text of F8.
