Corporate governance:
represents set of policies and procedures that determine how an organisation is directed, administered and controlled
typical components: accountability, compliance transparency and integrity
extends to organisation’s shareholders and stakeholders
Social responsibility:
represents organisation’s conscience or organisation’s responsibility to treat all stakeholders ethically and with certain degree of care
extends to organisation’s stakeholders and society at large
Appropriate standards of corporate governance and social responsibility:
ensure that organisation’s actions and decisions remain ethical, moral and in line with the best interests of shareholders, stakeholders and society
not only moral but also becoming a legal requirement for organisations
economically beneficial for the organisation in long run
