F8 BIT Sessions for Dec 08

Hello everybody

I'm planning to take F8 and P1 in Dec 08.

I was looking at the June 08 BIT F8 sessions posts and it seemed like an excellent forum to keep learning and getting battle hardened for the F8 exam.

As a result I was wondering if people planning to take F8 in Dec had/were planning to emulate the previous F8 BIT sessions for Dec 08.

Please let me know if somebody's formed/planning to set up a Dec 08 group .

I will take F8 and P1 in Dec sitting, but could you introduce BIT study session? I am in Regina, Saskachewan, Canada. Where can I buy Text books and others material. I don't want to waste money on post. Could you offere e-material?

dont want to be a pain in the neck..i used the link just to get back to the same page in wich we on...am i doing anything wrong..i guess so..i only see the distance learning package advert on the top of the page and the rest are thread posts for last semester's bit classes.

Hi, Please count me in for F8 BIT, I chicken out of doing the exam in June as had not done enough studying so need to make up for it now? Are there any changes from the June 08 study book to the Dec 08 book as I can not afford to buy a new one?

so far these are the names of those that have expressed interest . am sure there are others that will be joining in as we progress.

I realise that some of us may be repeating this course while some of our colleagues are attempting for the first time.

The following are the guidelines

1.we shall start asking questions following the sequence of the study text.

2.we shall be asking 2 questions per week and we expect feedback from all the participants.

3.the questions will be posted on Tuesdays and fridays.this means that whoever 's turn it is to ask ,when that time comes should just proceed to post a question even though others may not have responded.

4.the questions will be asked in the order that has been listed. this means that i will start tomorrow by posting a question of which feedback is expected by monday. On tuesday we expect a question from Annie then the other friday Hamdy.and so on

5.we are not expected to download the textbook.but a summarised form of how we understand the question.

6.feel free to comment on the answers posted by other participants as we are advised to go through other peoples answers this is the only way we are going to consolidate our knowledge .

7.We hope the experts from GTG will help us in marking our scripts from time to time and try to give us model answers as was the case in the last F8 BIT.This will definately be done at their convenience as we know they have very busy schedules.

8.Those that are joining later just add yourselves to the bottom of the list and we shall inform you when it is your turn to post a question.the more we are the better because it means we shall have diverse ideas.

Feel free to put in your ideas of how best we can improve.otherwise tomorow we are on the move.

just follow the list and know when it is your turn to post a question. to those that will not manage to post answers for the two sessions per week never mind.
we all have other commitments and other papers that we shall be sitting for. i just thought that if we ask one question per week then it means we shall be having 4 questions in a month! just imagine the pace we shall be moving at.
meanwhile am going ahead to post the first session today just to get us started.
