The role of corporate governance is to provide a transparent system of financial reporting and an effective regulatory framework , to protect the shareholders right , increase discloures to bring confidence in the financial reporting of the company.

So if i answered that it is the way companies are directed and controlled would it be a diluted answer?

You answer would be perfect but I think it wouldnt fetch much marks as the questions asks for Role of corporate governance so it can be written a bit more then that.
