Meaning of Causality & remoteness of damage:
-Causality is the principle saying that everything that happens must have a cause.
-If the act and consequence is too remote then defendant is not liable If the act and consequence is not too remote but is proximate then defendant is liable for damage Scott v. Shepherd: The claimant’s carelessness need not be a cause of damage but it is essential to show that it contributed to the damage suffered.
