P1 Compusory Question

I Have tried to go through some questions in connection with this questions but i seem not to click how best to answer. How do i best handle.
Can some one please assist.
I also find the ethics question Tricky, especially in connection with Facts .issues etc.
It seems an important part of the exam.
GTG has good examples but i need guidance.

I think you must solve the pilot papers and Dec 07 papers.

Read examiner Lisa Weaver's article on

"How to tacke audit and assurance case study questions".

The article is in two parts and it explains the following points:

i. How to understand the verbs in the question
ii. Professional marks which are alloted to answers.
ii. Reading the scenario carefully and thinking about the issues related without just skimming the information.
iii. Planning and time allocation
iv. Presentation of the answer

Even though it deals with assurance paper, I think it wil be a very useful for the students of P1.

A tip, while solving questions relating to auditor independence try to determine the fundamental principles which are affected, identify the threats and suggest the safeguards to mitigate the threats.

I know it is easy to say but only practice will give you confidence.
