Vandana Saxena Poria

OBE, ACA, FCCA, CEO
Vandana Saxena Poria qualified as a UK Chartered Accountant with HW Fisher.  After qualifying, she spent 10 years living and working in a multitude of countries in Central and Eastern Europe, initially for Ernst & Young.  She went on to become the CEO of BPP International, the international division of Europe's largest listed professional training company with a turnover in excess of £160 million.  In this capacity, she was responsible for all training outside the UK.  She was also responsible for drafting the first versions of the IFRS and ISA material for BPP. Vandana was also a very successful tutor and consistently achieved top student ratings. Accountancy education is Vandana’s passion.

Vandana also works closely with the British Government to foster international trade for the UK and has given numerous presentations for/to UKTI. She has held several positions with the British Chambers of Commerce in several countries including Chairperson.

Dipak Poria

Chairman
Dipak is a double graduate in Maths and IT from Imperial College, London. He spent the first 15 years of his career working for some of the world’s largest investment houses (Bank of America, LGIM, Colonial Mutual, Kuwaiti Investment Bank) in various R&D and IT related roles in the City of London. In 2001 he was appointed R&D Director at BAM, an international hedge fund trading arbitrage from emerging markets as well as derivatives on the major global markets.

James Cooper

FCA, CFA
James joined GTG as a non-executive director in May 2008. He is a Chartered Accountant and CFA charter holder. He has over 25 years experience in accountancy, financial training and the publishing industry. He spent 7 years with FTC (now Kaplan) as a lecturer and director of professional studies before moving to BPP where he headed up the professional education division. Under his leadership, BPP expanded from its London base to build a network of training centers across the UK and Europe.

 

Peter Keeling

Peter is GTG's UK director and has 30 years experience in ACCA training, both in the UK and abroad.  Peter is associated with the London School of Accountancy, one of London's most successful ACCA tuition providers.

Rajendra Ekbote

Total 15 years of experience in industry, including with Larsen & Toubro , India as the accountant ,  National Industrial & Trading Company , Sharjah , UAE as the Chief Accountant, Kumar Builders, Pune as  the DGM , Finance and Accounts. IFRS related experience: worked in the IFRS environment(including preparation of IFRS statements) for 4.5 yrs during the stay in Sharjah, UAE-where KPMG- Peat Marwick were our auditorsTotal 12 years of practice as a chartered accountant in the fields of accounting, auditing, direct and indirect taxation, and bank finance. Established & successfully managed an organization imparting education for Chartered Accountancy at Pune, India, for 7 years. Managing a team of Researchers, Authors, CA’s who develop the content for the ACCA books ranging from Study Text, Question Bank & Key Notes. Accountancy, costing, auditing, economics to the students of chartered accountancy ad company secretary courses at Pune. India, and to the students of IMRCD, Nigdi, Pune. IFRS training to students/ corporate for the past 2.5 yrs.

Madhuri Thete

Managing a team of Trainers providing training for Diploma in IFR and ACCA papers. Manage trainers, organizing schedules for trainers across in India to conduct training at various corporate & open batches. She is an author on IFRS and is heavily involved in the development of IFRS material for ACCA exams. Has trained students for Dip IFRS for corporates like Genpact, Grant Thronton at various locations across India and also has attended various seminars on IFRS organised by ICAI and some of big 4 accounting firms. Has conducted ‘train the trainer’ sessions for IFRS trainers. Total 7 years of practice as a chartered accountant in the fields of accounting, auditing, and taxation.

Milind Date

25 years of corporate experience in organisations of repute, Indian and MNCs, in India and abroad. Last 5 years of the industry experience was as CFO. He has worked in middle east and handled M & A in European countries like Germany and Italy. Apart from Finance & Accounts he also ably handled functions such as Costing & MIS, supply chain, and IT. He has successfully implemented ERP projects such as SAP, J D Edwards etc. He had worked closely with the board level personnel and strived for shareholder wealth maximization. Cost reduction, investment management financial and organizational restructuring which are his strong traits.

Offering and edge-vantage, the knowledge evaluation test series
GTG conducts and incisive test series specifically designed by the expert faculty for students to evaluate the topic wise knowledge of the students in the subjects taught. These tests are conducted on a regular basis on diverse subjects. The sole objective of these test series is to boost the confidence of the students prior to the final exams. A detailed solution of each test paper is provided to the students at the exam centre immediately after the test. Answer papers are evaluated by the faculty and are returned to the students.
Results of the test series are dispatched to the parents by post.
